A house of knowledge for Mexicali

Meyibó, Centro del Saber is one of Mexicali’s most distinctive cultural spaces. Its building, with a striking pyramid shape of red brick and white concrete, houses a center devoted to bringing the public closer to science, technology, art and culture. Opened in 2001, it was purpose-built for this mission and today operates under the Municipal Institute of Art and Culture of Mexicali (IMACUM).

Inside, a library, exhibition halls and computer labs coexist with a broad catalog of workshops: from painting, dance, theater and music to computing, graphic design and robotics. Meyibó also stands out for its inclusive vocation, with specialized working groups for blind, visually impaired and deaf people, making knowledge a right for everyone.
