Isla de las Estrellas is the stage that is free with your fair ticket during Fiestas del Sol. This concert is separate, outside the fair (which ended on October 11): you need your own AREMA ticket, and a fair admission ticket will not get you in.
Caifanes plays Mexicali on Friday, October 23, 2026 at 9:00 PM, open-air at Isla de las Estrellas, the outdoor stage of the FEX fairgrounds on Calle Río Nuevo. The band returns to the same stage it played on November 7, 2025, and the date is part of its 2026 tour of Mexico, which stopped at Mexico City's Estadio GNP Seguros in July.
Fronted by Saúl Hernández, Caifanes is one of the essential bands of Spanish-language rock: a dark, gothic-tinged rock sound blended with pre-Hispanic rhythms and imagery, and lyrics with a poetic, mystical bent. That catalog produced anthems crowds still sing start to finish, like "La Célula Que Explota", "Afuera" and "Viento" — the three the ticket seller itself highlights.
Tickets are sold through AREMA in six tiers, from $695 MXN for standing room to $2,200 for Zona Fan, plus a service charge. You can also pay cash at three Farmacia Santa Mónica locations in Mexicali.

Tickets are on sale through AREMA in six tiers: ZONA FAN $2,200, DIAMANTE $1,675, ORO $1,350, PLATA $1,100, BRONCE $950 and PREFERENTE DE PIE (standing) $695 MXN. The first five have numbered spots; Preferente de Pie is standing room, unnumbered, at the back. Buying online adds a service charge, bringing the totals to the figures in the table; the ticket seller also charges $15 MXN for digital ticket delivery. Isla de las Estrellas is the open-air stage of the FEX fairgrounds (Centro de Ferias y Exposiciones) on Calle Río Nuevo, the same grounds as the Palenque. There is no roof: by late October Mexicali nights cool down, so a light jacket is a good idea. AREMA does not publish door times or parking information; arrive early.
