Chucho Rivas plays Mexicali on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 8:00 PM at Malgro Cervecería & Tap Room, in the Las Hadas neighborhood. It is a date on the "Manuel Tour 2026", the run supporting his latest album, which he promotes with a tongue-in-cheek tagline: "ojalá que nunca vengas a este tour" ("I hope you never come to this tour").
The singer-songwriter, from El Rosario, Sinaloa, first became known as a teenager, when he finished second on TV Azteca's "La Academia 10 Años". He went on to find his own sound: pop ballads that borrow from regional Mexican music, with songs like "Amarte y Perderte" and "Cuando Te Veo", and collaborations with Yuridia ("Como Tú"), MIA, Alex Ponce and Lalo Ebratt.
The tour is named after his album "Manuel (Ojalá que nunca escuches este disco)", released on April 24, 2026 with 19 tracks — Manuel is, in fact, his middle name. It gave us "El alma de la fiesta" and "Hay amores". In Mexicali the format is a club show: a craft brewery with the crowd just a few meters from the stage.

Malgro Cerveza & Tap Room is a craft brewery in the Las Hadas neighborhood, on Av. de los Jazmines. It is not an auditorium: the show is standing and capacity is small, so arrive early and, if you are drinking, leave the car and take a ride. The ticket seller has not published a doors time.
