The poster bills it as a "screening of the film with a live Symphony Orchestra": the movie plays on a big screen while an orchestra performs the score on stage, synced to every scene. It is not a concert of standalone pieces, nor an ordinary cinema screening. Two things are worth knowing before you buy: neither the poster, the ticket seller nor the Baja California Cultural Agenda says which orchestra performs or who produces the show, and none of them specifies which version of the film is screened (the saga has the animated movie and a live-action version). Several productions with similar names are touring Mexico in 2026, so we do not assume any of them applies here. If that detail matters to you, ask at the box office.
The performance is on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Teatro del Estado in Mexicali and runs about two hours, according to the Baja California Cultural Agenda. It is an afternoon slot meant for families: it ends around 7:00 PM.
Tickets are on sale through Primera Fila across five tiers by theatre level, and there is also a physical box office at Hotel Lucerna. The prices the ticket seller currently lists are labeled "PROMO" and are lower than those quoted elsewhere, so if you saw the show at $800, check the table below before paying.
It is one of two Baja California dates: the next day, Sunday, September 27, the same production plays El Foro in Tijuana at 4:00 PM. And watch the calendar that weekend, because it is the first weekend of the Fiestas del Sol fair, which opens on Friday the 25th.
This is the family-oriented show, but there are two details no source publishes: from what age a child needs a ticket, and whether babies in arms are allowed in. In a theatre with numbered seats every seat usually counts, so ask at the Hotel Lucerna box office, (686) 247 7072, before buying. It is an indoor room with numbered seats across levels — hence the tier names — so you do not need to arrive hours early, but do come with time to spare: once the screening starts, walking in late with kids is awkward for everyone. That Saturday is the first weekend of the Fiestas del Sol, so allow extra traffic time if you are coming from the south of the city.
