Edición Especial play the Palenque del FEX on Saturday, November 14, 2026 at 7:00 PM. It is a separate ticketed event: it falls more than a month after the Fiestas del Sol palenque wraps up, and the venue programs shows all year round.
The group plays Mexican music with the accordion up front. It is led by two cousins — Arturo Villa, who sings and plays accordion, and Cristian Valenzuela on drums — and it is one of the projects that has taken hold best in the north: Baja California, Sonora, Sinaloa and Jalisco are their natural territory, and much of their audience comes from there. Theirs is also the most-streamed catalog among the acts playing the palenque this end of year.
What they bring is a settled repertoire — "Sin Ti", "Cada Noche", "Buena Suerte", "La Fea" — plus "Fotografía", the single they released in June of this year. Along the way they have recorded with Fuerza Regida and Grupo Firme, which gives a sense of the circuit they move in.
We do not publish their formation year or the release date of their first album "Rompecabezas": one source places it in 2016 while the digital catalogs date it to 2018, which in regional Mexican music is usually the re-upload date rather than the release. When sources cannot be reconciled, we would rather drop the detail.

Buy tickets on TicketnautaThe palenque puts the stage at the center of the ring with the audience all around it, spread across tiers: there is barely a "back row", but how close you are changes a lot by tier — that is what separates general admission from gold. It sits inside the FEX fairgrounds, on Río Nuevo, minutes from the Centro Cívico, with parking on site. By mid-November Mexicali nights are already cold; the ring is covered, but the entrances and the queue are not.
