Looking for "Sanas" or "Zana"? This is it: El Zana, also known as Juguería El Zana.
Data verified on October 21, 2026 against its Google listing and its Facebook page.
El Zana is a juice bar with a restaurant on Blvd. Lázaro Cárdenas in Nuevo Mexicali: in front, a window for natural juices and coffee; in the back, a dining room for breakfast and lunch. It has a 4.6 rating from 708 Google reviews, with reviews going back to 2016.
The outside does not say "El Zana": the sign is black, reads "JUICE&COFFEE" and has a white apple, which is its logo. Several reviews say the same thing: they had no idea there was a restaurant behind the juice bar.
For breakfast, what shows up most in its reviews and photos are the chilaquiles (the "chilaquiles vaqueros"), the omelette with beans and the pancakes. There are also sandwiches, soups, main dishes and a kids' menu, and coffee comes with refills.
The juices are the other half of the place. Its combinations are painted on the front windows: the Verdecito (spinach, pineapple, parsley and celery), the Cero Grasa (nopal cactus, celery, parsley, grapefruit and pineapple), the Súper C (orange, strawberry, pineapple and grapefruit) and the Energético (beet, carrot and orange juice), among others, plus smoothies like the Color Rosa (beet, papaya, granola and milk).
It opens Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Saturday from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM; it is closed on Sunday. It is a morning place: it does not open in the evening. Google estimates 200 to 300 MXN per person.
It has free parking, is wheelchair accessible, accepts cards and contactless payment, and besides dining in you can order takeout or use curbside pickup. Reviews agree that there is often a wait; some regulars call ahead to order their juices.
The combinations are painted on the front windows. Some of them:

From the street it looks like just a juice window. Walk in and there is a dining room in the back, with coffee refills and a breakfast and lunch menu.
Dishes taken from its reviews, its Google photos and the boards on the facade; we do not list prices per dish. Google range: 200-300 MXN per person.
A restaurant with a varied menu; the food is very tasty and generous, the juices are natural and you get exactly what you order, there are coffee refills and it tastes good. Nice atmosphere, a very friendly waitress served me and the tables are very comfortable; prices are not too high. This dish is called "Chilaquiles vaqueros".
A hidden gem; I had no idea there was a restaurant behind the juice bar. I loved the place, a really pleasant and friendly atmosphere. I went with a group of friends and we all loved it. Delicious food and excellent service. The coffee is 10/10.
First visit; I really liked their variety of drinks and food, and we were all happy with the flavor. They have soups, sandwiches, a kids' menu, main dishes and more. Portions are normal, fine for the price. It takes a while, but there were people at the drive-through and in the restaurant.
The takeout portion should be illegal; the chicken had no seasoning, nothing special. Don't waste your money, go somewhere else: 245 pesos down the drain.
