Also known as "La Fiesta del Taco"
Treat your taste buds 🌮

The main location, open until the early hours. This is where the tradition started back in 1976.
Branch in the Jardines del Lago area, on Blvd. Lázaro Cárdenas.
Branch on Periférico Oriente, in the Las Hadas neighborhood.
El Huarachón has been grilling carne asada tacos over charcoal in Mexicali since 1976. In that time it went from a neighborhood taquería to 3 locations across the city, and its slogan sums it up: "Treat your taste buds."
The one to order is the Súper Taco Huarachón, the house specialty: carne asada, tripe and al pastor together in a single taco. Everything else orbits around it —individual charcoal-grilled asada, tripe and al pastor tacos— plus the bigger cravings: huaraches, quesadillas and vampiros.
The Calzada Independencia flagship is the one that stays up latest: it closes at 1 AM Monday through Thursday, stretches until 4 AM on Friday and Saturday, and closes at midnight on Sunday. The other two locations are on Lázaro Cárdenas (Jardines del Lago) and Periférico (Las Hadas).
You can dine in, order takeout or pick up, and it delivers through DiDi Food, Uber Eats and Rappi. A typical bill runs between $56 and $260 per person.
"Dale gusto al paladar" — the motto that has accompanied El Huarachón since 1976, when it began serving charcoal-grilled carne asada tacos in Mexicali.
