Kuma Coffee

Kuma means «bear» in Japanese, and the bear is everywhere: in the name, in the look and in the little teddy bear they sometimes give away with your drink. Their motto sums it up — «侘び meets caffeine or matcha», the Japanese idea of «wabi» brought to coffee — and their specialty is cold foam: cold foams of Lotus, vanilla, matcha or red berries on top of lattes, americanos and matchas.

The first location, in Alamitos, is small and very photogenic: royal blue and silvery white, blue tile, an organic-shaped mirror, a «But first, coffee» sign and an LED screen that welcomes you. It has a couple of tables outside. And there is a second location in Hacienda Bilbao, on Calzada Macristy de Hermosillo, which its reviews — all from July and August 2026 — call «the new place»: roomier and now serving food too.

What to order at Kuma

The drinks reviewers mention most are the Biscoff Lotus Latte and Biscoff Lotus Matcha ($148 MXN), with Lotus cold foam, crumble and a whole biscuit on top, and the Cinnamon Toast Matcha ($155), made with cereal-flavored milk. Japanese matcha is the base of half the menu — from the $119 Matcha Latte — and each season brings drinks with Mexican flavors like Carlota, cajeta Coronado or marzipan. There is also a secret menu, tiramisu and brownies.
