About the gallery
The Galería de la Ciudad (City Gallery) is at Avenida Álvaro Obregón 1209, in the Segunda Sección neighborhood, a few blocks from the historic downtown. It is a free-entry exhibition hall that turned 48 in 2026, showing work by artists from Mexicali and its valley.
Expresión Plástica Cachanilla 2026
From June 19 to August 21, 2026 it hosted "Expresión Plástica Cachanilla 2026", a group show by 71 artists and two local collectives (painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, textile art and installation) marking its 48th anniversary, free from 10 AM to 6 PM, according to El Imparcial.
